Week 1 - (2nd-6th)
~Read Freak the Mighty:  Chapters 1-10
      ~Write summary for Ch. 1-3
      ~Answer text dependent questions from Ch. 1-10
      ~Learn new vocab for Freak the Mighty and do vocab activities
      ~Make predictions on what is to come (foreshadow)
      ~Discuss mood and tone of the book
      ~Complete a STEAL chart on choice of character
~Practice Unit 2 Set A words
~Review types of figurative language
~Concentrate on idioms 
 
***EXTRA CREDIT:  Make flash cards for ALL unit 2 words
***EXTRA CREDIT:  Make up to 3 idiom posters.  Illustrate the literal meaning of an idiom and define its figurative meaning. DUE THIS FRIDAY, DEC. 6!!  See link for example:
